When it comes to fashion, Made in Italy is synonymous with quality, craftsmanship and passion. Behind every piece of clothing created by skilled Italian hands lies a meticulous process, where each phase is treated with extreme attention. Today we take you on a discovery of this creative journey, from the conception of the idea to the creation of the final product, telling you how our garments come to life.
The Idea: the heart of creativity
Every piece is born from an idea. It can be inspired by a landscape, a historical era or an emotion, but in any case it is a concept that takes shape in the mind of the designer. It is precisely from this creative spark that the journey of our piece begins, a combination of aesthetics and functionality designed to enhance the beauty of the wearer.
The Drawing: the idea on paper
From the idea we move on to the drawing, where inspiration takes shape. The designer, with decisive and precise strokes, transforms the concept into a sketch. Here the essence of the garment emerges: the lines, volumes and proportions are defined to give a concrete form to what previously existed only in the mind.
Vision and description of the designer
At this point, the designer describes the piece to the rest of the team. Every detail is communicated with precision: the fabric, the colors, the sensations that are to be conveyed. This is a crucial phase because it allows those who will follow the subsequent phases to fully grasp the soul of the project.
Pattern Making: The Pattern Maker in Action
After the drawing, the pattern maker comes into play, who creates the paper pattern. This is the step that gives structure to the garment: a three-dimensional project on paper that will be used to cut the fabric. It is a delicate phase, where precision is essential to ensure that the garment has the perfect proportions and fit.
Fabric Test: Tailoring in Action
With the pattern ready, we move on to the first fabric fitting. Our in-house seamstress makes the garment in an initial version, which is then viewed to evaluate every detail. Here, the fall, fit and structure are observed.
Defect and new tests
If defects or adjustments are found, the pattern is reworked. The "defect removal" phase is essential to correct every little imperfection and achieve an impeccable result. If necessary, a second fabric test is performed until the desired perfection is achieved.
The development of sizes
Once the prototype is completed with all the necessary modifications, the in-house model maker takes care of the development of the various sizes. Each garment is adapted to respect the different physical conformations, ensuring that the style and fit are always perfect, regardless of the size.
Cutting and production
After the size development phase, the fabric is cut into the different sizes and colors chosen. From here, the garment enters the actual production phase, which is entrusted to our internal tailor. It is in this phase that the garment begins to really take shape, with every detail carefully finished.
Quality control
Quality is a fundamental pillar of Made in Italy, and that is why each piece goes through careful quality control. Every seam, every finish is checked to ensure that everything is perfect before moving on to the final stages.
Ironing, cataloging and packaging
After quality control, the garments are carefully ironed, catalogued and bagged. Each garment is treated with extreme care to ensure that it reaches the customer in impeccable condition.
Accessories and local collaborations
If the garment requires applications, embroidery or other special details, these are worked by specialized local companies. This connection with the territory is an integral part of our philosophy: we collaborate with artisans who share our values and our attention to quality.
A garment that tells a story
Our creation process is not just a sequence of steps, but a true story. Each piece is the fruit of expert hands, of an artisanal tradition that is handed down from generation to generation. When you wear a Made in Italy piece, you are not just wearing a piece of fabric, but a story of passion, dedication and mastery.
